Vitamin B5 is colorless, viscous clear liquid, It is soluble in water, methanol, propylene glycol and ethanol, insoluble in fats and oils.
Vitamin B5 plays a key role in the human intermediary metabolism. Deficiency of Vitamin B5 can result in many dermatological disorders. Vitamin B5 is applied in pharmaceutical industry and almost all types of cosmetic preparations. It cares hair, skin and nails.
Vitamin B5 is frequently used in combination with other B vitamins in vitamin B complex formulations. Vitamin B complex generally includes vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin/niacinamide), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), and folic acid.
